Astymin Set to Reward Brilliant Kids

The management of Fidson Healthcare Plc has expressed the decision to reward final year pupils who have performed exceptionally well in their academics.

The company’s General Manager, Marketing, Mr. Ola Ijimakin, announced this at a media briefing on the season four of the Astymin Brilliant Reward programme, an annual event that is designed to appreciate and reward outstanding performance in children.

In what promises to be a more engaging experience than the previous editions, Ijimakin said this year’s programme would witness the convergence of the very best graduating pupils from over 200 private and public schools across the south-west and south-eastern region; as well as their parents, teachers and stakeholders in the education sector.

“The kids will be recognised and rewarded with certificate of excellence and valuable prizes,” Ijimakin said.

He added, “For us as a brand, it is another day of celebrating excellence; and this edition is ground- breaking for several reasons. For the first time, we will be rewarding pupils from outside our traditional south-west states.

“In addition to the usual Lagos, Ogun, Oyo and Osun states schools, this year’s event will also reward pupils from Delta, Anambra and Enugu states. Also, for the first time, this year’s event will be rewarding the top 10 pupils from public schools in Lagos State. As such, we will be hosting over 200 schools in all.”

Explaining the rationale for the annual event, Ijimakin said Astymin Brilliance Rewards was the brand’s biggest and most prestigious event.

He explained further that Astymin brand supports various school programmes in primary schools.

“Every month, there is Astymin Genius of the Month, in which case students in primary schools in Lagos State write an essay on a topic agreed upon by their teachers. The teachers also assess them and choose the best of the entries. Astymin rewards and celebrates children.

“At the secondary school level, Astymin is involved in debates and inter-house sports; and at the university level, Astymin is the main sponsor of the annual PANS national conference whose crowning event is the Astymin Nite and the crowning of Miss. Astymin. Our biggest and probably the most prestigious event, however, is the ABR because of its focus on basic education.

“The Astymin Brilliance Reward is one of the ways the brand demonstrates its support for the academic endeavour of Nigerian children, thus propelling them towards excellence,” Ijimakin said.
