In a bid to further enhance its social corporate responsibility towards the society as well reward hardwork and excellence, Fidson Healthcare Plc, makers of Astymin brand has honored primary school graduate pupils with academic achievements in Lagos and its environs.

Speaking, the Sales and Marketing Director, Fidson Healthcare PLC, Mr. Olugbenga Olaleye, said that the Astymin Brilliance Rewards is simply a unique corporate initiative to recognse, reward and hopefully encourage further pursuit of academic excellence among young primary school pupils, who have individually distinguished themselves by emerging as the best graduating pupils in their respective schools.

To achieve excellence, in whatever form, demands a lot of self sacrifice. I’m sure many of you kids will agree with me on this statement. I need not to ask how many extra hours you had to devote to your studies, just to give yourselves that little bit of edge over your classmates.

In as much as you have made sacrifices to excel, there is no doubt that your parents have equally made sacrifices on your behalf.

Your teachers too, have no doubt made invaluable contributions towards your success, by pushing you hard everyday in class to ensure that you don’t slacken off,” he said.

Olaleye further noted that Asymin Brilliance Rewards which has become an annual event would continue to follow up on the academic progress of the pupils with lean interest, as they are now an ambassador of astymin and would henceforth put the initial ABR (Astymin Brilliance Rewards) after their name.

“You are the first winners of the ASTYMIN Brilliance Awards and, and as the pioneer beneficiaries of these excellence awards, each of you has earned the right to put the initials, ABR after your name, in the same manner that people who are awarded national honours like MON, OFR, GCON and GCFR are entitled to include these initials after their names,” he added.

The programme co-ordinator, Astymin schools programme, Mrs. Yetunde Adesola, said that the project is about celebrating the best kids from different schools across the country.

And as well motivate them towards hardwork, and that the response was very warming from over 150 schools with Lagos and its environs. She however, appreciated Fidson for the effort towards the success of inaugural celebration of the project, as well as the heads of the schools that came from different parts of the country to participate in the programme and urged them to keep the candle on.
